Auxiliary Unit 82 serves San Mateo, California and its neighboring cities. Our volunteer members live throughout San Mateo County.
The American Legion Auxiliary (ALA) is the ladies organization created in support of American Legion Post 82 and veterans in our community.

OUR VISION
In the spirit of Service, Not Self, the mission of the American Legion Auxiliary is to support the American Legion and to honor the sacrifice of those who serve by enhancing the lives of our veterans, active-duty military, and their families, both at home and abroad.
Our active members collect clothing and toiletries year-round for the benefit of veteran patients and current service men & women. Through fundraising, such as our Poppy Letter Drive, we fulfill veterans' Wish Lists, buy needed supplies, prepared care packages, and co-host BBQs for veterans & their families.
WHAT WE DO
Our members live throughout San Mateo County. The Auxiliary's primary beneficiary are patients at the VA Menlo Park facility and the Polytrauma Unit at the Palo Alto VA Hospital.
